Jeanne, a dedicated single mother navigates the intense daily challenges of raising Mandy, her sixteen-year-old daughter with severe autism. As Mandy grows into a young adult, her behavioral outbursts become increasingly difficult to manage, threatening Jeanne's livelihood and forcing the family out of multiple schools. Amidst a brief spark of romance with a supportive neighbor, Jeanne is ultimately confronted with the heartbreaking realization that she must consider enrolling Mandy in a full-time residential care facility, leading to a journey of acceptance and what it truly means to let go.
